Spices, Seasonings, etc.

Looking for a way to spice up your baby's food or make it more flavorful? While adding salt and sugar is inadvisable for baby food, there are lots of things you can add. Remember that you should always wait 3-4 days between each new introduction. Don't be afraid of trying spices and stuff either. I do recommend that you wait until your baby is about 7 or 8 months old before adding spices though. Below is a list of spices and seasonings, etc. that you can add to baby food, but don't let it limit you!! Be sure to use them all sparingly because a baby's palette is still very sensitive. Always be sure to check for reactions as well, that is why waiting for a couple days is so important!!

Spices & Seasonings
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Nutmeg
Ground Cloves (use very sparingly as taste is very strong!)
