Straining

Some fruits and vegetables need to be strained in order for them to be consumed by your baby, namely, peas & green beans. You can use a food mill or a mesh strainer or sieve. I use a mesh strainer.

Instructions
1. Puree fruits or vegetables.
2. Push through mesh strainer with spatula or ladle or spoon until all that remains in the strainer is skins. The food that is pushed out is perfectly smooth for your baby.

Straining stuff can be time consuming. Some people that make their baby food just wait until babies can pick up their food and chew it instead of worrying about straining it. Waiting to give your baby green beans and peas is perfectly acceptable. The decision to do either one is up to you.
